Lifan is a civilian owned engine, motorcycle and automobile manufacturer headquartered in Chongqing, China. It was founded in 1992 and as of 2005 became one of the worlds biggest manufacturers of power equipment.

Since 2014, Westbank & Lifan have been collaborating in the United Kingdom to bring you the ideal replacement engines for the Honda GX engine line. When our customer take the plunge and replace their Honda with a Lifan, it’s very rare that they switch back.

The reason for our longstanding partnership is simple, we believe in the products!

What’s so special about these Lifan engines?

It’s a fair question. When looking online for a replacement engine you will find many options, manufacturers and price points.

A standard Lifan engine is made to an upper-medium quality. That means unlike the super cheap engines available, no steel components will be replaced with plastic. This makes a big difference if you are using the engine for commercial purposes, cheaper components will inevitably fail, especially when being used for commercial uses

Every Lifan engine is inspected by a technician and quality-tested before leaving their factory. We are in constant communication with Lifan’s engineering department and they are committed to best-practice in both the design and manufacture of your engine.

What about Loncin

Loncin & Lifan are located in the same city and share the same supply chain. We won’t claim Loncin are bad engines, we actually think they’re great. But when you purchase Loncin goods, you are paying a premium for the distributor and dealer chain and it runs up the costs for you, the customer.

When you buy a Lifan engine, you get the Loncin quality without the Loncin cost! Because we strip out the middlemen and pass the saving on to you!
